Corporate Social Responsibility

Giving Back

AccessKenya Group remains committed to giving back to the society by routinely developing and implementing policies that integrate responsible practices to the environment and committing to protecting and improving the lives of the needy in the world around us.

Over the years, the Group has through financial and technological sustenance extended a much needed helping hand to the world around us. Through collective engagement of our staff, partners and well wishers, we have in recent past gathered our resources and attention to, in particular, civilize educational standards for children in disadvantaged locations.

Strengthening the social fabric

The Group has equally dedicated considerable efforts towards strengthening the social fabric by setting up sustainable income generating projects for the poor such as cyber cafes as well as donating material and food items that seek to advance the living standards of children. The Group also endeavors to touch the lives of destitute children in partnership with charitable organizations such as children’s homes and those in disadvantaged locations such as slum or overly remote areas.

Environment

AccessKenya Group is committed to enhancing energy conservation mechanisms and supporting Green Initiatives to help reduce the Carbon Footprint. The Group remains keen on the maintenance and upkeep of a robust environmental responsiveness. We not only focus on implementing environmentally sound practices in our operations but also adequately support sustainable environmental conservation initiatives. We remain active participants in the annual Rhino Charge that seeks to fence key water catchment zones and the Kenya Wildlife Service’s Greenline Project, a noble tree planting initiative at the Nairobi National Park.

On the whole, our activities are based on the pure principal of doing things that contribute towards changing lives in a sustainable way.

Projects that the Group has supported in the past:

  • Thika School for the Blind
  • A gift of Water to Emanto
  • A full year of Lunch to Kajiado school
  • Unlimited broadband to the Kangemi Resource Centre for school children
  • A year's food donation to the Huband Children's Home in Ngong Town
